Help your patients get well
Medication for patients with stress-related issues and depression is only ever a means of masking the symptoms – and, in today’s world of NHS budget cuts, an expensive solution.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most significant, exciting and innovative developments for decades in the treatment of psychological trauma related conditions. It is supported by extensive research and recommended for the treatment of PTSD in national and international guidelines including the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
The success rate is very high and it is a treatment that has a finite period, so it’s not a course of counselling with no specified end in sight.
, but this technique does not use traditional counselling techniques, instead, as the title suggests, it uses rapid eye movement, similar to that experienced during dreaming, to help the brain to work through the blocks.
The treatment is excellent for:
- Pain management
And related issues and conditions. EMDR has also been very effective in treating veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
I am happy to demonstrate the technique and explain how it works for medical and dental practices on request.
